California Standards Correlation with MSCA Curriculum

MOUSE Squad curriculum meets many English-Language Arts, Math, and Science standards prescribed for California's 4th - 12th grade students. Oral and written communications, reading comprehension, mathematics problem solving and using information to seek patterns and solutions - within the context of real life situations - are embedded in the MOUSE Squad curriculum. The social skills development portion of the MOUSE Squad curriculum provides for student growth in the areas of Visual & Performing Arts; specifically, the life skills of building and maintaining interpersonal relationships and clarity of communication.

The MOUSE Squad program is directly aligned with both the ISTE NETS and the SCANS standards, two national standards projects that define what students need to know and be able to do to be successful in the technology rich, rapidly changing 21st century workplace. To serve multiple needs, we have aligned the program to both the ISTE NETS and the SCANS standards in two ways. The job of the MOUSE Squad technician provides daily application of a wide range of technical and workplace readiness experiences. The chart demonstrates how the tasks that MOUSE Squad technicians typically perform align with the NETS and the SCANS standards. The correlation matrix depicts how the MOUSE Squad training modules correlate with these standards.
