Recap: Garage Robotics Workshops

55 students & 11 coordinators from 10 MOUSE Squads participated in one of 4 "Intro to Garage Robotics" workshops this spring - hosted by the Urban Assembly Institute of Math & Science for Young Women in downtown Brooklyn.

In pairs, students created working LED-light lamps using breadboards, resistors, batteries, switches, photoresistors & potentiometers - learning the fundamentals of electricity and circuits. Squads took home "Discover Electronics" kits from Sparkle Labs and Arduino microprocessors to continue through Garage Robotics Certification on mousesquad.org.

Thank you to our wonderful hosts at Urban Assembly, to the awesome training team at MOUSE, and most of all to all the MOUSE Squads who showed up excited to learn and to tinker:
