Congratulations February MicroProject Winners!
February MicroProject Winners!
Helloooo Squad members! The time has come to announce the February MicroProject Winners! LAST MONTH’S Challenge was to create an interactive poster or presentation about how cool your MOUSE Squad is by revealing your team’s secret powers! We had some really neat submissions. Have a look!
Our Grand Prize
A $60 gift card to Best Buy goes to Grandeur of the Hudson High School of Learning Technologies in New York City. Their project was submitted by Zoni and made in Glogster. It’s a big interactive poster of each MOUSE Squad member, including their name, position and power. It was really cool to see how diverse the powers of this squad are. With so many powers and so many individual talents and perspectives it's clear this squad's secret power is teamwork.
Our First Runner Up
Winner of the runner up award for a Papertronics Lunar Module are the Nerdy Bulldogs from P.S. 043 in Queens, New York. Submitted by Afeliciano, their presentation was made in Prezi, which is our favorite new presentation program. We liked the way this Squad came to a collective decision about the three things that make their Squad powerful: the team members, the technology and oranges! Yep, that’s right, the Nerdy Bulldogs are bright and joyful, just like the orange fruit.

Our Second Runner Up
Also receiving a Papertronics Lunar Module is the BH Squad of Bell Haven Elementary School, who submitted three Google Docs presentations and two videos! Ella submitted this presentation about how their squad works together to help others. Jewlz submitted this project in which she shows how they use the MOUSE Squad Learning Cycle! Anysleydi-Ramos created this presentation which says that having fun together gives their squad the most power. Cris-Vasquez made this video showing the Squad at work. And to top it off, their Coordinator, Mr. Pronovost, even made a remix video of Cris’ video.
It's always such a difficult decision voting on submissions and awarding these prizes. Thank you to Coordinators and students who participated and submitted such awesome projects! We are looking forward to seeing many more of them in the future. Be sure to check out our March MicroProject: Remix the Web!
