Announcing the SchoolCraft3D Winners!
February MicroProject Winners!
Last month’s challenge was to design your dream school in 3D. And your creativity and technical skills really showed!
Our Grand Prize
Earning the MicroProject Winner Badge and a $60 gift card to Best Buy is Digital Me from Price Mouse Squad in San Jose, California. His school is a series of domes containing a theater, an aquarium and a library as well as classrooms and a cafeteria. It even has an outdoor basketball court! We love the futuristic look and how big each of these domes are on the inside. Send an .STL file to [email protected] and we'll print your project!

Our First Runner Up
Our first runner up, and winner of a RadioShack DIY Kit, goes to hsoli16 from The MOUSE Squad at the Staten Island School for Civic Leadership in New York. Robo School receives a runner up award because... well, because who doesn't want to go to school in a giant robot?! Ok, really, we're giving him this honor because it's a very detailed design, is 3D printable and his squad actually printed one out and included the video in the submission. Super cool time lapse!

Our Second Runner Up
Also receiving a RadioShack DIY Kit is karim (a previous MicroProject winner) from Wagner Middle School in New York City. Karim created (with the help of his brother) a gigantic Minecraft school with basketball courts, a diving area and a working mine cart ride to take you from place to place.

Honorable Mentions
There were so many excellent submissions we have to have a few honorable mentions.
American Canyon Middle School in California created two incredible schools.
- Their first school has stairs, turrets and a double helix.
- Their second school is a beautifully designed campus with pools and interestingly shaped buildings.
JHS Stephen A. Halsey in New York City submitted some incredible schools:
- This space station school
- And this school with a skyscraper attached.
Also, Robert. F. Wagner in New York City submitted this school with a rocket for taking field trips to space!
