mcorps_logo_new.png

Mouse Corps is a year-long afterschool design and technology program for self-proclaimed geeks, techies, artists, activists, innovators and tinkerers who will achieve over 100 hours of applied design, technology, workplace and leadership experience.

Over the course of the program, students brainstorm, prototype, and present their Legacy Project, a new technology which addresses a social need, while building their skills and exploring career pathways with technology mentors across diverse professional settings. In the summer, Mouse Corps students are eligible to apply for apprenticeships at organizations across the city.

How do I know if Mouse Corps is right for me?

Mouse Corps is for self-proclaimed geeks, techies, artists, activists, hackers, innovators, tinkerers, makers that have an intermediate to advanced level of technology literacy. You'll apply these skills and learn new ones to design a new technology that solves a need in the world - Mouse Corps members care about the world and their community. If you aren't sure whether you have the skills, check out the application, or email [email protected] for advice.

Will this Qualify for Community Service Credits?

mcorps_legacy.pngYes, several components of the Mouse Corps program are designed for community service. Legacy Projects offer weeks of community service! Plus you learn a lot about the technology you love along the way, like Media, Robotics, Programming or Web Design.

Where are Mouse Corps Meetings?

Most workshops/meetings take place at Mouse Headquarters in Manhattan (50 W. 23rd St. 7th floor Suite 702, NYC).

How many spaces are there this year?

Because only a few of our students from last year were seniors, there are only about 4-5 open spots in Mouse Corps this year.
