MOUSE Will Lead a Fun Workshop at Your Site! Schedule Now!

Our amazing MOUSE Squad Learning Network Coordinators, Patrick and Rachel, are now available to lead a workshop for YOUR MOUSE Squad! These workshops are fun, hands-on, and collaborative -- AND they're included in your MOUSE Squad membership, so they're free!

How Do I Get a Workshop for My Squad?

There are three simple steps to follow (you can find more detailed information for all of these steps here):

  1. Pick a topic--we offer workshops from the MOUSE Squad Certification, Serious Game Design, Garage Robotics, and GreenTECH. Your students don't have to have experience with the topic you choose: we have workshop options at both introductory and intermediate levels.
  2. Decide if you want to host an Open Tech Training. For an Open Tech Training, your Learning Network Coordinator will invite MOUSE Squads from neighboring schools to join your workshop! This is a great way to connect your Squad to their peers in the NYC MOUSE Squad Network and to recapture some of what makes Team Training so fun!
  3. Contact your school's Learning Network Coordinator (Patrick or Rachel) and give them the following information:
    • What topic do you want to focus on?
    • How many students will attend?
    • Do you want to make this an Open Tech Training?
    • What are at least two dates and times that would work for you and your Squad?

Why would I want Rachel or Patrick to lead a workshop for my MOUSE Squad?

  • They're fun! Every workshop includes a fun teambuilding challenge and a hands-on tech activity!
  • These workshops can be a great way to introduce a new topic for your Squad to work on, or a new skill to try!
  • If you're not sure how to get your Squad started with a new type of project, these workshops can get you off to a great start!
  • If you host an Open Tech Training, your Squad will have the chance to meet and work with other MOUSE Squad students in the area!
