This is a reminder for squads interested in the new Garage Robotics Specialist certification course - email us ASAP! The kickoff workshop is on January 21st!
APPLY NOW:
To be considered a pilot site, Coordinators (no students, please) must send an email containing the following information to [email protected]:
- Name of your Squad's School/Site
- Coordinator's Name
- A statement of interest (less than 200 words)
- Coordinator's phone number
- Please include "Garage Robotics Pilot" in your email's subject
Only 5 squads will be selected. Sites applying to participate in this pilot will be contacted by phone or email for follow-up.
WHAT IS GARAGE ROBOTICS?
- The first in a series of "Specialist Badges," or extended certification opportunities for experienced Squad members, being written and tested for Mouse Squads.
- Introduction to the foundations of electrical, robotic, and computer engineering.
- A full semester of hands-on activities, including 3 Mouse-led workshops and many self-led activities.
- Topics include Understanding Circuits, Voltage and Current, and Basics of the Microprocessor.
- Includes a Garage Robotics materials kit with lesson plans, blueprints, and all of the equipment you will need.
