WHAT IS SUMMER ACADEMY?
Learn to build and take apart a computer from the inside out; record and mix digital music; capture and edit video, and much more! MOUSE & Geek Squad Summer Academy is working to “demystify” technology through interactive classes and activities. Summer Academy helps you navigate our increasingly techie world and opens up exciting possibilities for your professional, creative, and technical future - oh and did we mention you get Rock Band and Wii Sports breaks?

DETAILS:
To attend, you must be a rising 6th - 12th grader. Summer Academy costs $40 total to attend, but there are scholarships available. For more information, contact MOUSE Program Manager, Jim Bussey.
CLASSES:
- PC Build: Learn computer hardware skills, practice building computers
- Web Class: Explore the Internet, gain awareness of Internet security, safety and ethics and develop a Junior Agent “website”
- Digital Music: Covers the basics of creating digital music using electronic instruments and computer-based recording software
- Multimedia: Experiment with digital imaging, digital video, podcasting, streaming video and other multimedia recording and storytelling devices
- Green Tech: Explore what technologies are helping us live greener lives
- Other Activities: Battle of the Bands (Rock Band), Wii Olympics, Dance Off (Dance Revolution)
